Today was Eve's first trip to the beach. We went to Morro Bay and were a little surprised when we saw that the coastal fog still hadn't burned off at two in the afternoon. It was chilly but we still braved the sand and wind. Eve used the opportunity to eat her first fist full of sand. She just took everything in. Hopefully, the next time we go to the beach, it will be a little warmer so that she can play in the water.
For me, the highlight of the day was the chance to see my friends Larissa and Brad. It's been almost nine years since we've seen each other. Since then, they've had a very sweet little girl named Jody. She was so much fun - full of life and energy. Brad and Larissa are amazing parents and it was great to see them in that capacity. We got to enjoy their company all day long. It was hard to say goodbye to them this evening. If all goes as planned, you'll get to see more pictures of them in the coming months, because it will NOT be nine years before we see them again.
One final Eve update, she's saying "Nana" now. If I could only get a "Mama" out of her...
